I have found my knitting Valentine! Carol Feller. She is my first
designer that gave me Goosebumps just looking at her work and watching her
class on Craftcy .com short row free class. Her designs and garment constriction methods are
so exciting to me I want to knit them
now! especially Bakersville hoody and
Ignus sweater...

Pattern review
Resoleable boot socks by Wayne Pfeffer adapted by Anne Merrow
from "Favorite Socks 25 Timeless Designs" from Interweave
| This was easy part, trouble begins after the heels |
I went from being so exited to learn how to do a
Resoleable sock - to dreading working on it. In fuct if i didn’t start both socks at same time (on different nlds of couse)I would have never finished them according to the pattern.
It is SUCH A PAIN IN THE BEHIND ….
I definitely will never take time to resole it, that ‘s for certain.
The amount of fiddling with the nlds it took and working sock’s instep and sole flat, slows you down so much that in that time I would have finished both socks with after though heel that would be so easy to remedy and even if I need to frog my sock all the way to pass the heel to re knit it, my enjoyment level and the ease of work is to be considered. To me this sock is not worth the trouble…
No offence to the designer in his time it may have made sens…
However, if you do want to double up the sole of the sock without yarn inside the sock (like it would be in color work which makes it really a triple sole, that’s what I do for heavy duty work socks) then It’ll make sense to go through a process of painfully slow knitting….
also, this pattern is written for dpns with a suggestion that circular ndls can be of help without specifying what size length wise needed. So You’ll need 6 dpn that are longer then 6 inch and or cirndls longer them 24 inch I used 40 inch ones magic loop method that worked ok 32 may do but i think 40” much better…
Please note this is not a book review Its a pattern review
I'll do book review when I've knit up more patterns from it, but from a glans I did buy the book because I liked what I sow, I love over all set up of the book.
